Line &23 threshold information.

Cause . . . . . : One of the following may have caused the problem:
-- The environment may be electrically noisy.
-- The telephone line quality may be poor.
-- The modem may not be properly grounded.
Recovery . . . : Refer to the IBM Systems Hardware Information Center Planning information for information about electrical requirements and noise problem considerations. Consult the local telephone company to have the line tested to verify line quality. Consult the modem manufacturer to determine the proper grounding technique to use. The threshold function may be turned off or changed in the threshold (THRESHOLD) parameter on the CRTLINASC command. To report the problem, start problem analysis (ANZPRB command).
Technical description . . . . . . . . : The parity bit was in error, and the line data is not correct. This error counter, maintained by the ASYNC program, reached the value specified in the threshold parameter.
