Line &23 status information, signal loss on token-ring network.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : The token-ring adapter returned status information. The following may have caused the problem:
-- A faulty or excessively long cable in the token-ring network.
-- A poor connection between the token-ring adapter and the multiple station access unit (MSAU) or between the MSAU and the token-ring network.
-- The environment may be electrically noisy.
Recovery . . . : This status information is returned because the token-ring adapter card has detected an absence of a receive signal on the token-ring network. The token-ring adapter may enter the beaconing process and begin transmitting beacon frames to the token-ring network. You may choose to ignore this message because your line is still operational. If this problem occurs often, inspect the token-ring network for poor cabling. Refer to the IBM Systems Hardware Information Center Planning information for information concerning electrical requirements and noise problem considerations. If possible, use a token-ring network manager to isolate the cause and source of the problem.
