Line &23 status information, beacon frame transmitted, line running.

Cause . . . . . : This status information is returned because the token-ring adapter card has transmitted a beacon frame on the token-ring network. The line is still operational.
Technical description . . . . . . . . : Beacon frames are transmitted when either a wire fault exists or the nearest active upstream neighbor stopped sending tokens.
If this problem occurs often, refer to the IBM Systems Hardware Information Center Planning information for information about the electrical requirements and noise problem considerations.
If possible, use a token-ring LAN manager to isolate the cause and source of the problem.
