Message : CPI8FB3
Line &23 threshold information.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : A communication controller threshold has been exceeded. Your system will continue to operate; however, system performance may be degraded. The probable causes are:
-- The communications subsystem may be overloaded.
-- Line speeds may be too high.
-- Too many service functions are being done.
Recovery . . . : If system performance has been degraded, do the following:
1) Vary line &23 off, then vary it back on by specifying the RESET(*YES) parameter on the Vary Configuration (VRYCFG) command. If line &23 was not varied on because there are other active lines on the communication controller, a message will be displayed for each active line that must be varied off.
2) Vary off any of these active lines that are not needed.
3) End any service functions that are not needed.
4) Turn off or change the threshold function in the threshold (THRESHOLD) parameter on the CHGLINASC command.
If the problem continues, report the problem (ANZPRB command).
Technical description . . . . . . . . : A sufficient number of characters have been discarded because the receive (RCV) buffer is overflowing. The counter for the number of characters that have been discarded, which is kept by the asynchronous communications (ASYNC) program, has reached the value that was specified in the threshold parameter.
