Message : CPIB687
IBM i Support for Windows Network Neighborhood started, but an error was encountered.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : The required IBM i Support for Windows Network Neighborhood (IBM i NetServer) job QZLSSERVER started, but may not be fully functional because of reason code &1. See the following reason codes and their meanings:
1 - NETBIOS over TCP/IP started with errors - return code &3.
2 - A logon server or Domain Master Browser service already running on &4 conflicts with the IBM i NetServer.
3 - &4 has made a conflicting announcement for domain &5.
4 - &4 has made a conflicting Local Master Browser announcement in domain &5.
5 - System &4 has a name that conflicts with either the IBM i NetServer name or domain name.
Recovery . . . : Complete recovery for the specified reason code.
1 - If the return code specified is 3021, use the Work with TCP/IP Network Sts (NETSTAT) command to work with TCP/IP interface status to verify that the primary interface is running. If the primary interface is not running, use Option 9 to start it; if it is active, use Option 10 to end it and Option 9 to restart it. This can also be done from the TCP/IP Configuration for Interfaces in System i Navigator. Also make sure the DNS maps the name to the correct IP address. If your network's primary or secondary WINS server is this system, then change the IBM i NetServer configuration for the primary and secondary WINS server to a system that can be a WINS server. If the return code specified is 3435 check that your network's primary WINS server is functioning properly, if your network has a secondary WINS server configured check to see that it is functioning properly.
2 - The IP address of the conflicting machine is &6. An attempt to bind to the unique NETBIOS name &5 failed. The NETBIOS name is composed of the domain name followed by a service identifier. If the service identifier is 1B, the Logon Service will not be fully functional. If the service identifier is 1D, the Master Browser Service will not be fully functional. See http://www.ibm.com/eserver/iseries/netserver/msgcpib687.html for recovery options.
3 - The IP address of the conflicting machine is &6. A network configuration error has been encountered since there should be only one browser server announcing domain &5 on this subnet. Ensure there is only one logon server in the domain. If WINS is being used, ensure that both the IBM i NetServer on this machine and the TCP/IP protocol service on the conflicting machine are configured to use the same WINS and that the IP address of the WINS is correct. The WINS address is set in the IBM i NetServer properties dialog in System i Navigator.
4 - There should be only one Local Master Browser announcing itself for domain &5 on this subnet. See the recovery text for reason code 3.
5 - The IP address of the conflicting system is &6. The NETBIOS bind conflict name is &5. Change the conflicting IBM i NetServer name or domain name and restart IBM i NetServer.
