Cause . . . . . : The cryptographic adapter has reported a tamper detection condition in the secure portion of the adapter hardware. The cryptographic adapter must be replaced. Before replacing the adapter, locate and correct any conditions that would cause the tamper condition. Possible tamper conditions include:
-- Physical penetration
-- Radiation exposure
-- Voltage or temperature range limits exceeded

**For security reasons, when replacing the cryptographic adapter, use the Cryptographic Coprocessor disablement procedure in the service information.

Recovery . . . : Report the problem to your hardware service provider. Press F14 and report the problem.
