Network Server Host device &25 failed.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : One of the following may have caused the problem:
-- The Ethernet external cable.
-- DUPLEX value for Network Server Host (NWSH) device &25 does not match network device (router, hub or switch) port's duplex value.
-- LINESPEED value for NWSH device &25 does not match network device (router, hub or switch) port's line speed.
-- Network termination, the network or network devices.
-- The NWSH adapter card.
Recovery . . . :
-- Make sure the Ethernet cable is attached to the NWSH adapter card and a network device, and reseat the cable connectors.
-- Check the network device (router, hub or switch) ports for lights, and reset if necessary. Verify that the network device has not lost power.
-- Verify that both duplex value and line speed are set the same for the NWSH description and the network device (router, hub or switch) port.
-- Check the Ethernet cable for physical damage. If the cable type is UTP (unshielded twisted pair), make sure the cable is wired according to the EIA/TIA-568A standard:
Pins 1 and 2 using the same twisted pair,
Pins 3 and 6 using the same twisted pair,
Pins 4 and 5 using the same twisted pair,
Pins 7 and 8 using the same twisted pair.
-- If any cabling or configuration problems were found and corrected, reply to any unanswered messages in the QSYSOPR message queue, (vary off/on the NWSH description if necessary), and retry the procedure that failed.
-- If no cabling/configuration problems were found, press F14 to report the problem to your hardware service provider.

Technical description . . . . . . . . :
To determine if the NWSH adapter card is defective, perform the hardware verification test as indicated below:
Start System Service Tools (STRSST), then select Start a service tool, Hardware Service Manager, Locate Resource by Resource name. Enter the NWSH controller resource name &27 and then select the Verify option, and run all tests. If all tests pass, do not replace the NWSH adapter card.
