Cause . . . . . : Press Enter to confirm the selection of a concatenated field to store the record number. If a concatenated field is selected to store the record number, it is made output only. If the fields used in concatenation are defined before the concatenated field in DDS, they will be written with the generated record number. On the other hand, if the concatenated field is defined before the fields used in concatenation, the data entered will get propagated correctly to the concatenated field in the file. However, DFU always shows the generated record number in this concatenated field.
Recovery . . . : If you do not want to change your selection, press Enter to continue with your DFU program definition, otherwise change your selection and press Enter to continue.
Technical description . . . . . . . . : If the concatenated field is defined after its internal fields in the DDS, the internal fields will be written with the generated record number as it is an output only field on the INSERT, ENTRY or CHANGE screens. If the concatenated field is defined before the fields used in concatenation, the data entered will get propagated correctly to the concatenated field in the file. However, DFU always shows the generated record number in this concatenated field.
