Floating character in numeric-edited sending field at statement &2 was not valid.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : During the de-editing of a numeric-edited field containing the floating PICTURE character +, -, or &1, a leading floating character was not found, or it was located at the wrong position in the field. Message issued at statement &2 of COBOL program &5 in program object &3 in library &4.
