Invalid character &7 was found in column &8 in argument-1 for function &6.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : The argument for intrinsic function &6 had a character that was not valid. Message issued at statement &1 of COBOL program &4 in program object &2 in library &3.
Recovery . . . : For the functions NUMVAL and NUMVAL-C, argument-1 can contain the characters space (' '), plus ('+'), minus ('-'), CR ('C' or 'R'), DB ('D' or 'B'), numeric digit ('0' through '9'), comma (','), and decimal point ('.'). NUMVAL-C argument-1 can contain the same characters as NUMVAL, as well as the valid currency sign.
