Invalid character &7 was found in column &8 in argument-2 for function &6.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : The argument for intrinsic function &6 had a character that was not valid. Message issued at statement &1 of COBOL program &4 in program object &2 in library &3.
Recovery . . . : For the function NUMVAL-C, argument-2 must not contain the characters space (' ') in either a leading or trailing position, plus ('+'), minus ('-'), numeric digit ('0' through '9'), comma (','), and decimal point ('.').
