Cause . . . . . : A stop code was created and inserted into your document where the cursor was located when you requested the Insert Stop Code function. If you keyed a prompt on the Insert Stop Code display, a prompted stop code was inserted. If you pressed enter on the Insert Stop Code display without keying a prompt, a non-prompted stop code was inserted. After the stop code is inserted, your cursor is moved to the position immediately following the stop code. To verify the type of stop code that you created, move your cursor back one position. The words "Prompted Stop" or "Stop Code" will appear in the audit window at the top of the Edit display. On certain devices, prompted stop codes will appear as a space, however, you cannot type or backspace over this control.
