Message : QRY1087
Error checking not complete.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : Error checking did not complete because of reason code &8.
Reason 1 -- An error was found while checking the query definition template (QDT) built to run the query, and only one QDT error is diagnosed at a time.
Reason 2 -- The QDT was built, but could not be checked because some object required is damaged or was temporarily unavailable. There may be no errors in the query definition.
Reason 3 -- One or more syntax errors or data type related errors were found, so no QDT was built or checked.
Reason 4 -- Same as reason 3, but only the first 31 errors were diagnosed.
Reason 5 -- The collating sequence choice is not usable and you did not press F13, F5, or F3 (to check as though the choice was hexadecimal), so only syntax checking was done, and no QDT was built or checked.
Reason 6 -- Same as reason 5, but only the first 31 errors were diagnosed.
Reason 7 -- The query is too complex to build a SELECT statement to be checked for errors.
Recovery . . . : Correct the errors or be sure you understand what caused them before making any other changes in the query definition.

Use detailed information for preceding messages to decide if you need to do something other than change the query definition.
For code 1, you may need to contact a file owner about a file definition change that is causing the problem and should be corrected.
For code 2, you may need to contact your system administrator about making the required object available.
For code 3 or 4, you may need to exit Query for i5/OS and change your job attributes (use the CHGJOB command) or a system value (use the CHGSYSVAL command).
For code 5 or 6, you may need to change the collating sequence default in your query user profile when you get to the Select Collating Sequence display, or you may need to exit Query for i5/OS and redefine a collating sequence table object that no longer exists.

Press F5 (Display report) as you change the query definition if you want to find out about data that is not correct or not being used correctly, since this type of checking will not be done until you try to save or run the query.
