Cause . . . . . : It is not possible to derive a SELECT statement from the Query for iSeries query definition &1 in library &2. Either the resolved expressions (after substitution of expressions for all result field names used to define other expressions) do not fit within the processing limit of 32K, or the SELECT statement itself does not fit within this limit, even with all unnecessary blanks removed.
Recovery . . . : Use WRKQRY to change the Query for iSeries query definition. Remove any result field definitions that are not required as report output or needed to control record selection or sorting. Reduce the complexity of remaining expressions and record selection tests, if possible. Substitute RANGE and LIST for less compact comparisons, for example. Then try the request again.
