Parentheses for UNION or UNION ALL are not supported.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : If you used the Enter SQL Statements display and entered parentheses on the group SELECT statement with UNION or UNION ALL and then pressed F4 (Prompt), the parentheses were ignored.
Recovery . . . : To avoid getting this message, remove the parentheses from the SQL statement that you supplied. You can use a prompt display to build the statement, and then you can supply the parentheses yourself by doing the following:
1. On the Enter SQL Statements display, type the SELECT statement and press F4 (Prompt) to use the Specify SELECT Statement display to build the remainder of the statement without parentheses.
2. When you have finished building the statement, press F21 (Display statement) to ensure you entered the statement correctly.
3. Press Enter to continue.
4. Press F12 (Cancel) to return to the Enter SQL Statements display.
5. Press F9 (Retrieve) to get the last SQL statement you entered.
6. Add the parentheses.
