Definition

Authorization to access notifications with the origins:

• General notification

• Claim on customer or supplier and claim by customer or supplier

• Notification for Support Line Feedback

You can use this authorization object to control access to the create, process and display transactions for notifications with the origins given above.

You can also control the following activities in the notification separately:

• Giving approval for a notification

• Displaying costing data

• Editing cost data

• Editing long text for a claim

The display and processing of a notification that was created by a user in the simplified notification transaction is not checked with this authorization object.

Defined fields

The authorization object checks the following fields:

• Notification type

• Activity (see below for attribute)

• Partner function (for specific activities)

In the Activity field you can have the following attributes:

• 01: Displaying notifications in lists
  (Authorization is also implemented in the NOTIFICATIONS logical database)

• 11: Displaying notification in the simplified notification transaction

• 12: Displaying notification in the simplified notification transaction, (if the user is assigned to the notification as the partner. The validity of the partner function that is assigned to the partner is also checked in this activity, see below for explanation)

• 21: Displaying entire notification

• 22: Displaying entire notification, (if the user is assigned to the notification as the partner. The validity of the partner function that is assigned to the partner is also checked in this activity, see below for explanation).

• 23: Displaying entire notification, if the user created the notification

• 41: Creating a notification

• 51: Processing a notification in the simplified notification transaction

• 52: Processing a notification in the simplified notification transaction, (if the user is assigned to the notification as the partner. The validity of the partner function that is assigned to the partner is also checked in this activity, see below for explanation).

• 61: Processing entire notification

• 62: Processing entire notification, (if the user is assigned to the notification as the partner. The validity of the partner function that is assigned to the partner is also checked in this activity, see below for explanation).

• 63: Processing entire notification, if the user created the notification

• 71: Approving a notification as the approver

• 81: Creating and editing costs in the notification

• 82: Displaying costs in the notification

• 91: Creating or displaying long text 1 of a claim, if the user is assigned to the notification as the partner. (This only applies to a claim on the customer or supplier , or a claim by the customer or supplier.)

• 92: Creating or displaying long text 2 of a claim, if the user is assigned to the notification as the partner. (This only applies to a claim on the customer or supplier, or a claim by the customer or supplier).

• 93: Creating or displaying long text 3 of a claim, if the user is assigned to the notification as the partner. (This only applies to a claim on the customer or supplier, or a claim by the customer or supplier).

• 94: Creating or displaying long text 4 of a claim, if the user is assigned to the notification as the partner. (This only applies to a claim on the customer or supplier, or a claim by the customer or supplier).

Explanation of Check on Partner and the Partner Function

If an activity is dependent on the partner data in the notification, the access authorization is checked as follows:

1. The partners that correspond to the user are determined with the partner function from the notification. The partner can be the ID number and the partner function Person or the organizational unit in the partner function Department responsible The system determines the partner using the company's organizational structure.
2. Finally, the system checks whether users have authorization to access the authorization object for one of the partner functions that have been assigned to them. If this is the case, the user is allowed to access the notification.
