Easy Authorization Management for SAP

C_APO_TPVS - Authorization Object TP/VS (release SCM 4.1)

Definition

Authorization object C_APO_TPVS controls authorization checks for transactions and functions within APO component Transportation Planning/Vehicle Scheduling.

Defined fields

• APO_TPVS_A (TP/VS area)

The APO_TPVS_A field specifies the transaction or function that is to be checked within TP/VS. The possible values are as follows:

• 1,,Settings

• 2,,Optimization, Cost and Routing profiles

• 4,,Optimizer Settings (Pickup/Delivery Windows, Compatibility Rules)

• 5,,Interactive Planning

• 6,,Optimization (Interactive and Batch)

• 7,,Carrier Selection (Interactive and Batch)

• 8,,Publish/Unpublish Shipments

• 9,,Delivery Creation (Interactive and Batch)

• A,,Check Release of Planned Shipments (Interactive and Batch)

• B,,Transfer of Planned Shipments to OLTP (Interactive, Batch)

• C,,OLTP Publication Monitor

• D,,Delete Deliveries (Interactive and Batch)

• E,,Delete Shipments (Interactive and Batch)

• F,,Delivery Split

• G,,VS Consistency Check

• H,,Send Planned Shipments to Carrier via EDI

• ACTVT

You use the ACTVT authorization field in corresponding area to specify what is allowed. The input help for the ACTVT field is adjusted to the authorization requirements for authorization object C_APO_TPVS. The possible values for this are as follows:

• 01 Create or Generate (profiles)

• 02 Change (settings, profiles)

• 03 Display (settings, profiles, Interactive Planning in Display mode)

• 06 Delete (profiles)

• 16 Execute (planning transactions and functions)

• APO_TPVS_P - Optimization profile Number

You use optimization profile to restrict access to objects (orders, shipments and resources) in planning transactions and functions. Please note, that this field is not checked in optimization profile maintenance itself.

Following fields are used for authorization checks only for transaction /sapapo/vs01 Interactive Vehicle Scheduling to restrict access to corresponding planning objects (orders, shipments and resources)

• APO_LOCFR (Source Location)

• APO_LOCTO (Target Location)

• APO_TPVS_V (Vehicle Resource Name)

Note.

To restrict access to TP/VS Customizing settings please use authorization object S_TABU_DIS with authorization group TPVS.

Example

It is necessary to restrict planners only for working on orders from specific logical systems XYZ123 or XYZ124.

Then first two optimization profiles PROFILE1, PROFILE2 with logical systems XYZ123 and XYZ124 correspondingly should be created.

Then following roles are created:

ZROLE_TPVS_PLAN_FOR_ XYZ123 with following authorizations:

1.,,TPVS Area = Customizing, Profiles and Settings

Activity = Display

2.,,TPVS Area = Interactive Planning, Optimization #

Activity = Change, Display, Execute

Optimization profile = PROFILE1

Locations, Vehicle Number = *

ZROLE_TPVS_PLAN_FOR_ XYZ124 with following entries:

1.,,TPVS Area = Customizing, Profiles and Settings

Activity = Display

2.,,TPVS Area = Interactive Planning, Optimization #

Activity = Change, Display, Execute

Optimization profile = PROFILE2

Locations, Vehicle Number = *

Then planners with role ROLE_TPVS_PLAN_FOR_ XYZ123 can only perform planning within objects defined in profile PROFILE1, therefore only for logical system XYZ123. He cannot change this profile or any settings/customizing.

Planners with role ROLE_TPVS_PLAN_FOR_ XYZ124 can do the same only for logical system XYZ124.
