Definition

This authorization (C_TCLS_BER) defines the use of characteristics by organizational area.

In the classification system, you can restrict the selection of characteristics using organizational areas. This authorization is used to check organizational areas against the user master. A user can only assign values to a characteristic if the user has authorization for the organizational areas to which the characteristic is assigned.

In class maintenance functions, a user can only assign organizational areas for which the user is authorized.

Organizational areas are defined per class type. This means that you can restrict a user's access to organizational areas to certain class types. The user cannot access characteristics that are assigned to organizational areas in any class types not entered in the user master.

You define organizational areas per class type in the IMG for Classification, step Define class types.

Note

You can define organizational areas for each class type in the IMG for Classification in the section on Classes.

Example:

The user can only access characteristics that are assigned to the organizational areas A to E, K or V.
