Symptom

When generating a program, in which a check reports no errors, the
following error was returned:
GEN_SAPSQL_LIKE_DB_TYPE:
Database field for LIKE operator has invalid data type.

Cause

When generating a program, an additional processing phase is executed
plus the normal check, in which various extra checks are performed.
In this case, it was determined that for a LIKE operator in an SAP-SQL
statement a field was used with an invalid data type. Only the
following data types are permitted: C, N, T, D, 1 and 2.

Solution

Use field with permitted data type.
