Mode abend in list processing

Symptom

In the last branching list in interactive reporting, the following
mode abend occurs: "Rollout failed".

Cause

In the last list level, the attempt is made to send a CALL SCREEN
(directly or indirectly via sending a message) or output a field into
the list, which has a conversion routine (same stack mechanism as with
CALL SCREEN).

This saves the last list level in the list stack. As this only has
space allocated for the maximum number of list levels, this saving
leads to a main memory overwrite immediately after the list stack
and thus to a Rollout error.

Solution

Correction.
