Symptom

Customer would like to create a new client.

Cause

Customer would like to create a new client.

Solution

Basics:
A client is created by being copied from another client.
At present, we support 2 ways of copying a client:
Option 1: a client is created, without master or movement data.
Option 2: an exact copy of the source client is created, ie with all
master and movement data,
(A possible third option, the copying of master data WITHOUT movement
data, is not yet supported at this time (09.11.92)).

Option 1 is the first alternative that is described in the installation
guidelines. Using an ABAP program (RSCLIC01, a transport order is
created containing the tables to be copied. These tables are then copied
into the new client with R3trans. Then, four ABAP programs are executed,
which reset a number of objects. There was no indication in the
installation guidelines as to how to parameterize these programs. So:
RDDRRMAC: inherit default parameters
RSSNR0I0: entry *: all number ranges are reset
VKRSTX00: entry for (DEL_STX) = 'X'
RSSODELE: no parameters

Option 2 is the copying of the complete client (with master and movement
data) with R3trans. After this copying, the new client is an exact copy
of the old client. No more of the reset reports may be run after this
procedure.

Please note that user masters MUST be copied when using either option.

It is of course possible to include individual tables in the transport
order and copy them. This requires, however, good knowledge of the
complex networking of table entries in the SAP System.
