Char. set problems under AIX

Symptom

Umlauts and other characters, that are not in 7-Bit ASCII, are not
converted into upper case latters. Short dump START_CALL_SICK occurs
when starting up system.

Cause

Wrong set up of SAP profile based on incorrect specifications in the
Installation Guidelines for AIX.

Solution

The profile parameter abap/locale_ctype may NOT be set to
de_De oder en_US,
as is specified in the Installation Guidelines.

In a German installation, the parametter should be explicitly set at
all. Non-German installations should set the parameter as follows:

German Switzerland : de_CH.ISO8859-1
French Switzerland : fr_CH.ISO8859-1
France : fr_FR.ISO8859-1
Denmark : da_DK.ISO8859-1
USA : en_US.ISO8859-1
Great Britain : en_GB.ISO8859-1

If the customer has not installed the character set description, he then
should install it or explicitly opt for an alternative description.
