Terminal: threads cannot be generated
Tip-No.: 62

Symptom

Error messages SAP0209I, SAP0319I, SAP0415I, or SAP0418I.
No additional threads can be started.
When starting from the command line, error message SYS0089 is also
possible.
When starting the SAP R/3 - Unix System, the message window
'System error' - Terminal cannot be started can appear.

Cause

The maximum number of threads (run-time objects in OS2, previously
set) has been reached.

Solution

In file C:#CONFIG.SYS, increase the entry for THREADS to 255 and
restart your OS2 computer.
