ABAP: CALL TRANSACTION to Report

Symptom

CALL TRANSACTION is used to call up a report, whose selection screen
has a secondary screen. Some parameters and/or selection options
are to be entered. This does not function for the fields on the
secondary screen.

Cause

The secondary screens, following a CALL TRANSACTION, are not processed
if the first screen is processed in the background. With a foreground
processed first screen, the user can determine whether the secondary
screens are processed. Only if this is the case, does SPA/GPA take
effect (as with every other CALL TRANSACTION too).

Solution

Use SUBMIT AND RETURN and pass on parameters/select-options explicitly
using WITH ...
