/CWM/CM_3: Functions in the Handling Unit Management Area (New)

Use

As of SAP Enhancement Package 6 for SAP ECC 6.0, Industry Extension Catch Weight Management (IS-CWM 606), the CWM, Repetitive Manufacturing and Additional Processes (/CWM/CM_3) business function is available.

The function for the initial data transfer of handling units (HU) from a non-SAP system to an HU-managed storage location could not previously be used in a CWM system. The CWM system now supports this function for both catch weight and non-catch weight materials.

If you use HUs in the ERP system for the first time in a storage location and the data for these HUs is already available as external data records from a non-SAP system, report RHUWM_INITIAL_LOAD now also supports you for the initial transfer of these HUs that contain catch weight materials. This report transfers data from an external file, creates handling units from it, and then posts them to the stock of the corresponding storage location.
