/DSD/BF: Enhancements to the Settlement Cockpit (New)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension SCM, Enhancement Package 3(EA-SCM 603), business function Enhancement of the DSD Process (/DSD/BF), a higher-performance settlement cockpit is provided with the following new functions:

  • Run difference determination more than once
  • Delete empty visit lists
  • Delete deliveries

Run difference determination more than once

Once the data has been entered or transferred, the system determines any differences between the material quantity and the amount of money the driver has before and after the tour.

You can now run difference determination several times, even if the tour is not yet completed. The system does not save the data to the database tables. The system displays the result of difference determination. The system does not save the data to the relevant database tables until the tour is complete and difference determination has been carried out.

Shipments from tours that are not yet complete are not released for settlement. These shipments have a status less than 20. With this status, the system does not save the calculated differences to the relevant settlement tables. Shipments that are already settled have status 30. The system does not carry out difference determination again for these shipments (same as previous system behavior). Otherwise there is a danger of miscalculation.

Delete empty visit lists

You can now delete empty visits that do not contain any other data in orders, deliveries, invoices, or payments.

Delete deliveries

You can now delete entire deliveries in the settlement cockpit. Up to now, you could only do this in tour data entry. If you delete deliveries, the system sets the delivery quantity to zero and prompts the user to enter a deletion reason in a dialog box.

Improved performance

Up to now, the settlement cockpit still comprised partially of HTML controls. The type of programming could result in slow transfer of data from mobile devices. Likewise, processing of the data in the settlement cockpit could also be slow.

The settlement cockpit now uses object-oriented programming, and tour data entry has converted to Table Control technology. Both these factors accelerate the processing steps in the settlement cockpit. The paper-based DSD process especially benefits from these new features.
