/DSD/BF: Group-Based Listing/Exclusion in DSD (New)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension SCM, Enhancement Package 3(EA-SCM 603), business function Enhancement of the DSD Process(/DSD/BF), you can use group-based material listings and material exclusions in the DSD process with mobile devices and in the paper-based DSD process.

Up to now, you could only use these types of material listings and material exclusions in the standard ERP-SD.

In the DSD process, you can now use group-based material listings and material exclusions to control which customers can or cannot buy which material.

Group-based material listings and material exclusions specify material groups defined per customer group, both as a check function, and as input help for the employee at the customer.

You use the access sequences condition technique in the ERP system to define which search strategy the system uses to find the appropriate material for an order or delivery, based on the condition type and sales document type. The system uses the condition technique to check whether a selected material belongs to a list, and to which list it belongs. In this way, the driver who is carrying out a tour at the customer site is provided with support for the sales and delivery processes. The driver receives customer information about material groups for which a customer group is authorized. The driver cannot enter or append locked materials manually. The driver is only allowed to order listed material.

Effects on Existing Data

Effects on Data Transfer

Effects on System Administration

The group-based listing/exclusion in DSD is a restricted function of the SD group-based listing/exclusion. When providing the condition Hard, the system checks whether the condition tables only contain the fields KDGRP and MATKL.

Effects on Customizing

In Customizing for the group-specific settings of the DSD Connector, you must activate or deactivate the listing and exclusion function.

You make the Customizing settings for this function in Direct Store Delivery Customizing under the section Handheld Connectivity-> DSD Connector Settings-> Settings for Mobile Devices -> Specify Settings for Mobile Devices.
