/DSD/BF: DSD Statistical Data with Sales History (New)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension SCM, Enhancement Package 3(EA-SCM 603), business function Enhancement of the DSD Proces(/DSD/BF), you can display statistical data from past sales (sales history) on mobile devices in the DSD process.

You can extract basic statistical data from a BI system, download it to a mobile device, and display it there. The required data can be extracted from various data sources. The system currently supports data extraction from the BI system. Other data sources can be connected by implementing a BAdI. The statistical application Customer Statistics (CUST_STATISTICS) with the extraction variant Average Quantity per Week (/DSD/GS_QU) is delivered as a template. This extraction variant accesses data in the BI system, and is an example of other potential statistical scenarios with different data sources.

Prerequisites

To use the new function, you must use mobile devices in your DSD process. The new function does not support the paper-based DSD process.

Note

If you require data sources other than the BI system, you must set this up in Customizing and implement the BAdI Implementation of Extraction Methods (/DSD/BADI_GS_EXT_METHOD).

Effects on Existing Data

Data is only stored temporarily in the ERP system, and deleted again when the tour is uploaded to the backend.

Effects on Data Transfer

The BI system can be used as a source for the statistical data, as in the delivered extraction variant Sales History (/DSD/GS_QU). You activate the data extraction using the ERP system. The ERP system only saves the statistical data temporarily until the tour has been uploaded to the backend.
