/DSD/BF: Loading Confirmation and Counting Groups (New)

Use

As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension SCM, Enhancement Package 3 (EA-SCM 603), business function Enhancement of the DSD Process (/DSD/BF), you can check and confirm the stock on truck straight after loading. The loading confirmation can be carried out on material level or counting group level. Counting groups allow you to group materials with similar characteristics (different types of beer in similar crates, for example), which simplifies the counting process. You can also use counting groups for check-in and check-out.

The loading confirmation allows you to detect and record differences between the material quantities from the deliveries in the shipment, and the actual stock loaded on the truck. The actual quantities are then compared to the planned quantities from the delivery.

As soon as the loading confirmation has been successfully completed, the truck can be sealed and the seal numbers recorded in the loading confirmation.

The loading confirmation can be used for an initial load or for a reload.

Note
If you use the Transparency for Stock on Truck function, the truck stock is reposted from unrestricted-use warehouse stock to blocked truck stock once the loading confirmation is complete. This means that the stock is no longer available for the ATP.

You make the required Customizing settings for the loading confirmation in Customizing for Logistics Execution under Direct Store Delivery -> Loading Confirmation.

You make the settings for counting groups in Customizing for Logistics Execution under Direct Store Delivery -> Master Data -> Define Counting Groups and Define UoM Hierarchy for Counting and Counting Groups.
