/DSD/BF: Enhancement of the DSD Process (New)
Use
As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension SCM, Enhancement Package 3(EA-SCM 603), you can use the business function Enhancement of the DSD Process(/DSD/BF). This business function lets you use various new functions for the DSD process.

Stock View
- Tracking of stock movements and the goods stocks on the vehicle (truck) during the tour.
Visit Control
- Additional transaction types can be defined for visit lists in the DSD process. This integrates the visit lists into the CRM sales process.
- Provision of information to drivers about customers, and additional information for their customer visits.
- Simplified processing of customer data in visit plans and visit lists.
Route Accounting
- Enhancement of tour data entry, for example, the ability to run difference determination several times manually or release the tour for the final settlement run.
- Automation of other process steps in route settlement, such as creating orders or starting the final settlement run automatically.
- Identification of invoices that have been reprinted as repeat printouts to distinguish clearly between original invoices and copies.
- Definition of tolerance groups and interim accounts in difference determination to specify which differences require manual intervention, and where the differences should be temporarily posted.
- Definition of which posting action should be connected to which payment method in the context of the final settlement run.
- Higher-performance settlement cockpit with new functions, such as running difference determination more than once or deleting empty visit lists and deliveries.
Loading Confirmation
- Loading confirmation and counting groups to check and confirm the material stock once the vehicle has been loaded.
Tour Status
- Tour status that encompasses the status of all relevant components and can be used for follow-up activities.
Electronic Signature
- Use of electronically stored signatures in subsequent processes. The signatures are transferred from a mobile device.
Enhanced Support of Mobile Devices
- Transfer of language-dependent master data texts between the ERP backend and the front end (mobile device).
- Group-based listing or exclusion of specific materials.
- Support of the usage of a bar code to record the driver's waiting time at the customer (start and end time of tour).
- Greater flexibility within the data transfer scenario (upload) due to the ability to enhance the Route Accounting Database (RADB) with customer-specific requirements, without making modifications.
- Display of general statistical data in the DSD process on mobile devices, such as past sales (sales history).
Note
The (backend) functions of the business function Enhancement of the DSD Processare available with the delivery of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension SCM, Enhancement Package 3(EA-SCM 603). You can use the support for mobile devices (front end), which is related to this business function, as of xMDSD 3.0.
