/DSD/BF: Enhancement of Tour Data Entry (New)
Use
As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension SCM, Enhancement Package 3(EA-SCM 603), business function Enhancement of the DSD Process (/DSD/BF), you can use the following functions for tour data entry:
- Run difference determination several times manually
- As long as a tour is not yet complete, you can run difference determination more than once. The results can be displayed in the settlement log. The system does not save the data to the relevant database tables until the final difference determination is carried out. After that, the results can only be displayed in the settlement log.
- Release tour for final settlement run
- You can release a tour for the final settlement run straight from the tour entry transaction, without having to make a detour via the settlement cockpit.
- Trigger final settlement run (online or as a background job)
- You can trigger the final settlement run for a tour straight from the tour entry transaction, without having to make a detour via the settlement cockpit.
- Delete visits without assigned documents
- Visits that do not contain any other data in orders, deliveries, invoices, or payments can be deleted from the visit lists
- Use the tour status as an additional selection criterion for tour data entry
- Thanks to a new selection criterion, you can now optimize your selection during tour data entry.
The new functions mean that tour data entry now provides similar features to the settlement cockpit. Up to now, you could not use these functions for tour data entry. The reason is the different focus of the settlement cockpit and tour data entry:
- You use the settlement cockpit to check and postprocess tour data transferred from the mobile device (mobile DSD process).
- You use tour data entry to enter tour data manually and postprocess the data (paper-based DSD process)
Once the data has been transferred to the system (manually or by upload), the tour data goes through the same subsequent process steps. The new functions in tour data entry mean that you no longer have to switch from tour data entry to the settlement cockpit to trigger subsequent processes (such as difference determination). The new functions therefore reduce workloads, save time, and have a positive effect on performance.
