Reserve Calculation of Claimed, but Unsettled Losses for Russia (New)
Use
As of SAP Insurance Localization for Russia 6.0, you can calculate reserves of the claimed but not yet settled losses for your insurance enterprise in accordance with the Regulation to Create Insurance Reserve Under Contracts Other Than Life Insurance.You can submit the calculation to the Federal Insurance Control Service within one month after you (as an insurer) approve it.
To meet the legal requirements in Russia, you calculate the reserve of claimed, but unsettled losses for all the accounting groups separately, for any quarter.
The new functions in Russia enable you to perform the following tasks:
- Calculate the amount of claimed, but unsettled losses
- Calculate the insurance premiums that you (as an insurer) must pay back to the insured (or reinsurer) due to a pre-term termination of their contracts
- Prepare reserve lot for posting
- Proper printout format of the calculated reserves of claimed, but unsettled losses

To calculate the reserves of claimed, but unsettled losses properly, you are required to:
- Configure policy products in Customizing, Configure Policy Products
- Maintain your customer accounting groups in Customizing,Maintain Customer Accounting Groups
Then specify the calculation period for which you want to calculate the amount of reserves of claimed, but unsettled losses, and additionally assign the configured policy products to your customer accounting groups.
