SAP Management of Change (New)

Use

SAP Management of Change 1.0 provides a highly flexible and fully auditable tool for reporting, monitoring, and implementing changes:

You can:

  • Manage and streamline changes to products, procedures, processes, and equipment to save time and costs
  • Manage the risks of process changes, for example, the risk of human failure without significantly increasing the cost of operations for this process.
  • Motivate employees to communicate change requests using the intuitive user interface
  • Monitor and organize reviews, approvals and other actions necessary to implement the change (for example, update documentation, training materials, master data)
  • Use customized templates to decrease implementation and adoption costs
  • Ensure employees follow company/industry-specific change procedures to ensure safety compliance and reduce incidents

Examples of changes and industries that can benefit from the application are:

  • Safety-relevant changes to an equipment - in mining, automotive, chemical, and oil industries
  • Compliance-related changes to a product or packaging - in chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries
  • Process changes that could have an impact on industry standards - in process industries
  • Organizational changes in a safety-critical plant - in mining, chemical and oil industries
  • Any change that could adversely affect the quality of manufacturing operations - cross industries

A typical change process supported by the application:

  1. Create change request
  2. Carry out initial review
  3. Approve change request
  4. Drive change request
  5. Execute activities
  6. Close change request

  • ERP objects (for example, functional location, equipment, material, documents, maintenance order, maintenance notification)

  • SAP Environmental Health and Safety Management 3.0 (risk assessment request)

  • Business Workflow including e-mail notification
  • Digital Signature – customizable for each status change
  • Business Rules Framework Plus to support flexible customer-specific business processes
  • Fully customizable templates, questionnaires and checklists
  • Intuitive, flexible and adjustable user interface (WebDynpro)
  • Adobe Print Form for change request and activity
  • Easy application enhancement mechanism
  • Simple analytical information using Operational Data Provisioning
