SAP Compliance Management - Integration of SAP Case Management (New)

Use

Starting in Release 7.1 of SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS), you can take advantage of the features offered by integrating the Case Management tool with SAP Compliance Management in handling blocked documents or business partners. You can define workflows in Case Management in which you determine the areas of responsibility of your employees, through authorizations and their ranking for handling blocked processes in a decision chain.

If an employee needs assistance to release a blocked document or employee, he or she can create a case for the specific transaction in Case Management and attach the relevant questions, along with any documents required to assess the case. The next employee in the decision chain receives the case and can decide whether or not to release the process. As soon as a case exists for a process, the process cannot be released until an employee at a higher hierarchy level of the decision chain approves the release.

Because Case Management is active during every release of blocked documents and business partners, you have unbroken documentation of your individual employees' release activities. When an employee creates a case for a process, the actions of the individual employees in the decision chain create detailed documentation of the release process. You can use this documentation of the various release activities for submission during regulatory audits, or as a decision aid for new business cases.
