Usability in SAP Compliance Management (Enhanced)

Use

You can use the following enhancements in SAP Compliance Management starting in Release 7.1 of SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS):

  • All services
  • Technically incomplete documents

You can configure e-mail notification for technically incomplete documents. As soon as the system detects a technically incomplete document in the services of SAP Compliant Management, it generates an e-mail and sends it to the users (or user groups) you have defined
  • Sanctioned Party List Screening service
  • Check log

When a document is released that the system previously blocked due to the sanctioned party list screening, the check log is updated automatically.
  • Check of document addresses

If you enter an alternative delivery address in a purchase order, in addition to the default business partner address, the system checks both during the sanctioned party list screening.
In addition to the address in the document, the sanctioned party list screening for documents also takes the status of the partner address into account. If the system runs a sanctioned party list screening again after a change and the document address has not changed, the system still checks the status of the specified partner address in the document. If you check the business partner address between the previous and current checks, and it resulted in a block, the system locks the document after the change, although the business partner address did not result in a block during the first document check. By checking the status of the business partner address, the system tracks the check results in parallel, which means the decisions at both levels are included in the check.
  • Embargo Check service
  • Enter comments during embargo release

When you release documents that the system blocked during the embargo check, you can enter comments at document level during the release process. This improves the documentation of documents that were blocked and then released.
  • Legal Control service
  • Mass release of blocked documents

The Legal Control service now features a mass release for multiple items in a document, in which you can assign a license to several items at the same time.
  • Electronic communication for the transmission of import/export licenses

Starting in Release 7.1 of SAP GTS, a tool is available to set up the system for electronic communication for the transmission of import/export licenses. This enables you to request licenses paper-free from the authorities (such as BAFA or D-Trade) and receive them paper-free from the authorities.

Effects on Customizing

If you want the system to take the status of the partner address into account during the document check in the Sanctioned Party List Screening service, perform the following activity in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP GTS:

  • SAP Compliance Management -> 'Sanctioned Party List Screening' service-> Control Settings for 'Sanctioned Party List Screening' Service
Then set the Check Logic for Documents in the Scope of Check area to 2 Status Check of Unchanged Addresses (Partner Addresses).

If you want to use electronic communication for the transmission of import/export licenses, set the appropriate flag in the definition of the license types. You also have to configure the communication itself. The relevant IMG activities for SAP GTS are available under:

  • SAP Compliance Management → 'Legal Control' Service
