SAP Global Trade Services 7.0 - Implementation Guide (Changed)

Use

As of SAP GTS 7.0, the structure of the Implementation Guide (IMG) in transaction sprois changed to enable you to implement scenarios and processes more easily and avoid repeating the same settings for each of the services you use.

The IMG activities are structured to allow you first to make the general settings that are required to create system connections between your feeder system and SAP GTS. The general settings also include the definition of, for example, legal regulations that relate to either import or export processes. You also define your organizational structure and all of the numbering schemes that you may require for different services in SAP GTS.

The rest of the IMG activities are specific to the key capabilities in SAP GTS, namely, SAP Compliance Management, SAP Customs Management, and SAP Risk Management.

Due to the restructuring of the IMG, you no longer have to activate objects twice. For example, it is sufficient to define and activate document types and item categories once for import processes and once for export processes. You can do this in the General Settings for the particular key capability you want to use, for example, SAP Risk Management.
