Export Processing in SAP Customs Management (Enhanced)

Use

You can use the following enhancements in SAP Customs Management starting in Release 7.1 of SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS):

  • Automated Export System (AES) in Germany, Austria, and Denmark. AES enables electronic communication with the customs authorities, which will help streamline your export processing. You can use either the standard procedure or the simplified procedure to enter customs declarations for product exports.
  • Enhancement to export confirmation management
You can use the revised export confirmation management function in both the Customs Processing service (for export processing) and the Transit Procedure service.

To use the Automated Export System, you have to configure the export processes in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP GTS. The delivery Customizing for SAP GTS 7.1 contains the basic settings for these processes, including settings in the following areas:

  • Legal regulation - in the general settings for SAP GTS
  • Communication processes
  • Document structure
  • 'Customs Processing' service
