Import Processing in SAP Customs Management (Enhanced)
Use
Starting in Release 7.1 of SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS), you can use the following enhancements for import processing with SAP Customs Management:
- Customs declaration before goods receipt
- If oyu import products, and you present them and transfer them into a customs procedure at the border, you can create the customs declaration at this point. If you have integrated customs processing in the logistics processes in the feeder system, you can create the customs declaration in advance, without having to create a goods receipt beforehand, as was previously the case.
- Tariff number dependent on end use of the product
- If a product can have several tariff numbers in a numbering scheme, dependent on its end use, you can assign multiple tariff numbers to a product in the classification. The system can detect the end use of the product from document data in the feeder system and select the relevant tariff number for the import/export process.
- Revision to user interface for supplementary customs declaration
- When you create a supplementary customs declaration, the user navigation is similar to creating a regular customs declaration. The standardization of the display for customs declarations and supplementary customs declarations makes it easier to process the different documents.
- Import customs processing in Austria
- You can model the processes for importing products to Austria in customs processing of SAP Customs Management. The underlying Customizing for import processing is contained in the delivery Customizing of this release.
