Connector Monitor (Enhanced)
Use
As of release 2.0 of the connector for the SAP Financial Services Network, the File Monitorhas been renamed Connector Monitor. The Connector Monitoris the central monitoring function for the connector, and it has been enhanced to include the following new functions:
- You can select a message with an error status and navigate directly to the application log.
- You can select a message and navigate directly to the related business function (for example, Bank Communication Management).
- You can send and receive free text messages. You can also link a free text message to another message.
- The system displays enhanced error status information, including the Reason Code
and the Transport Layer Status.
- You can re-send messages that previously failed.
- The system automatically correlates inbound messages, for example, payment status reports are linked to the relevant payment message.
- You can select a particular message and view the related messages in a hierarchy.
Effects on Existing Data
Messages from release 1.0 of the system can be displayed in the Connector Monitor. However, certain new functions, such as the display of related messages, will not work for data from release 1.0, as the required database fields are not populated.
