Calculation of standard values: New functions
Description
This release note describes functions in the area of the CAPP-based calculation of standard values that are new for Release 3.0C.
Accesses to master data when calculating standard values
In Release 3.0C, you can access bill of material data and material master data within CAPP-based calculation of standard values.
In addition to the existing possible origins
- formula
- table
- entry
when changing a method on the Maintain characteristic structure screen by means of Edit -> Origin -> <...> you can now specify the following origins for the characteristics:
- bill of material
- material master record
- data from the task list header
- data from the operation
- detail data for the operation
If you want to specify one of the new origins, the system checks whether the characteristic is already assigned to a field of the database table belonging to the origin.
If this assignment already exists, the field is copied automatically. If the system does not find an existing assignment, it returns the dialog box Maintain field assignment for you to select the appropriate field from the fields of the database table.
In the case of the origins that are provided for the first time in Release 3.0C, the corresponding rule is assigned automatically by the system.
