SOP: Check Mass Processing Jobs

Description

In Release 3.0F, you can check your mass processing jobs. The following checks are carried out:

• All Planning Jobs

1. Does the variant (still) exist?
   
   

• Jobs to Copy Data from One Information Structure to Another

1. Does the activity contain the name of a copy profile?

If so, the copy profile will be visible when you carry out the Customizing step Define activities.

1. Does the copy profile exist?

If so, it will be visible when you carry out the Customizing step Maintain copy profiles.

• Jobs to Transfer Data to Demand Management

1. Does the activity contain the name of a transfer profile?

If so, the transfer profile will be visible when you carry out the Customizing step Define activities.

1. Does the transfer profile exist?

If so, it will be visible when you carry out the Customizing step Maintain transfer profiles.

• Jobs to Execute a Macro

1. Does the activity contain the name of a macro?

If so, the macro will be visible when you carry out the Customizing step Define activities.

1. Does the macro exist?

If so, it will be visible when you carry out the Customizing step Maintain planning types.

1. Does more than one aggregation/disaggregation macro exist for the job? This is not allowed because the results of such macros may conflict.
   
   

• Jobs to Carry Out the Forecast

1. Does the activity contain the name of a forecast profile?

If so, it will be visible when you carry out the Customizing step Define activities.

1. Does the forecast profile exist?

If so, it will be visible when you carry out the Customizing step Maintain forecast profiles.

1. Do the start dates precede the finish dates in the forecast profile?
2. Have the dates been entered in the forecast profile in the format YYYYMMDD?
3. If no forecast finish date has been entered, has the number of forecast periods been maintained? If so, the system will carry out the forecast on the basis of the forecast start date and the number of forecast periods.
4. If neither a forecast start date nor a forecast finish date has been entered, has the number of forecast periods been maintained? If so, the system will carry out the forecast on the basis of the current date and the number of forecast periods.
5. Has a valid storage periodicity been maintained in the Customizing step Set parameters for info structures and key figures?
6. If the storage periodicity is "P", has a fiscal year variant also been maintained in Customizing?
7. Does the forecast horizon fall within the planning horizon defined in the planning type?

The results of this check function also contain information on the following:

• forecast jobs

• The forecast horizon and the planning horizon are displayed, insofar as they can be determined.

• The section of the planning horizon for which the forecast can be carried out is displayed.

• macro jobs

In level-by-level planning, the characteristic values are sequentially sorted:

• from top to bottom if the macro carries out disaggregation

• from bottom to top if the macro carries out aggregation

For this purpose, you need to have set the "Sort" indicator.

To check a mass processing job, select Planning -> Mass processing -> Check from the flexible planning or standard SOP menu.
