R/3 Internet Application Components and Web Technology
Description
With the delivery of Internet Application Components (IACs) in Release 3.1 SAP laid the foundations for business applications in the Internet. Internet Application Components cover a broad spectrum of functions in Accounting, Logistics and Human Resource Management.
Internet Application Components are based on the Internet Transaction Server, part of Web Basis. New developments regarding the Internet Transaction Server and SAP@Web-Studio are covered in the Release Notes on installing the ITS and the SAP@Web-Studio.
The design of all existing Internet Application Components has been updated in Release 4.0A.
The functionality of some Internet Application Components has also been enhanced in Release 4.0A. For further information refer to the Release Notes for the relevant R/3 application. In Release 4.0A the following new Internet Application Components are available:
Booking Attendance (Web Users)
Canceling Attendance (Web Users)
Intranet Area
Booking Attendance (R/3 Users)
Canceling Attendance (R/3 Users)

Collective Release of Service Entry Sheets
Procurement via Catalogs

For the functions below choose 'Tools -> Business Framework -> Web Development':
- Administering Web Objects
With this function you can integrate the Web objects belonging to an Internet Application Component into the Workbench Organizer.
- Web Reporting With this function you can access Web Reporting objects and WebRFC objects.
