Cost Collector Strategy in Dependency on the Repetitive Manufacturing Profile

Description

Starting in Release 4.0A you can define cost collector search strategies for production cost collectors of cost collector order type PKMN(manual production cost collector) only in dependency on the repetitive manufacturing profile and no longer in dependency on the repetitive manufacturing profile and the production type.

This means that you can create a production cost collector for each material or combination of material and production version independently of the production type. For example, the costs for a material that is produced both in repetitive manufacturing and in KANBAN are collected on one production cost collector.

The system selects the relevant production cost collector depending on the repetitive manufacturing profile specified in the MRP view of the material's master record and on the cost collector strategy specified in Customizing for repetitive manufacturing or Product Cost by Period.

If you are using an R/3 release lower than 4.0A, do not create any cost collector strategies that depend on the repetitive manufacturing profile and production type.

If you have already defined cost collector strategies, you can use the report RMSERISS to display the repetitive manufacturing profiles for which multiple cost collector search strategies were created.

When you create manual production cost collectors in the application component Product Cost by Period, you create only one production cost collector for each material or material and production version.
