Short text
Mixed Costing
Description
Release 4.5A sees the introduction of the Mixed Costing function.
You can do the following:
- calculate mixed prices for materials that have been provided by different vendors, or that have been produced using different methods. These vendors and methods are differentiated by means of
procurement alternatives.
- calculate mixed price variances between the standard price based on the mixed cost estimate and the costed price of the procurement alternative. See also: Mixed price variances
You can create different cost estimates for the same material, by means of costing versions.
To calculate mixed prices for a material, you must already have done the following:
- defined quantity structure categories in Customizing, and assigned them to costing versions
- created procurement alternatives and mixing ratios in the application.
A special itemization is created for mixed cost estimates. See also: Changes in the CO-PC Information System
