Production Lot Costing

Description

A production lot is a production quantity that is planned and produced in relation to a number. When the number of the production lot is created, the system automatically generates a WBS element, which has the same number as that of the production lot.

This production lot number enables you to determine the planned and actual costs incurred by the production of a particular quantity of an assembly before receipt of the sales order.

You can create a production lot cost estimate to determine the planned costs for the production lot of a material. You can access this function via the Product Cost Planning menu.
