Short text

Absence Quota Accrual and Absence Payment Processing

Description

Release 4.5A of the Payroll Accounting application for New Zealand features a new method of processing absences. Leave types are now called absence quotas, and recorded in the Absence Quotas infotype (2006) instead of the Leave Entitlement infotype (0005). Absence processing is divided into the following steps:

  • Absence quota accrual processing
  • Absence payment processing

The R/3 System processes absence quota accruals using the international component for leave accrual from Personnel Time Management. The leave accrual component facilitates:

  • The automatic calculation of absence quota entitlements.
  • Manual changes to calculated entitlements using the Quota Corrections infotype (2013).
  • Checking and correction of absence quotas as well as a simulated projection of future quota entitlements using the user interface Quota Overview (transaction PT50).
  • Greater flexibility in absence quota deductions.

Absence payments are processed through the Payroll Accounting application for New Zealand. Compared to previous releases, this new method of absence processing updates accrual balances without executing payroll. However, to accrue absence quotas and effect absence payments, you must run the time evaluation program RPTIME00.
