South African Company Car
Description
In this release, the company car functionality has been enhanced to include the following new functionalities. You can now:
- Account for more than one company car in the system.
- Enter one-time payments made by your employees toward the purchase price of a company car.
- Enter employee payments toward the benefit value of a company car.
Company car information previously stored on infotype Internal Control (0032) is now stored on infotype Company Car (0442). The new infotype has been improved upon to now include the following fields:
- Car manufacturer
- Car model
- Registration date
- Buy date
- Car unavailability reason
- Sequence number - is relevant if more than one company car is applicable.
- Price aspects - the system reads the total purchase price of the car (subtracting an employee contribution, if applicable).
- Benefits aspects - allow you to enter an employee's contribution amount toward the company car, the frequency of these payments, and the allocation of fringe benefits for the company car.
Installation information
- If you have existing data on infotype 0032, you must first run report RPU45BW0 before entering any data into Infotype 0442. This report converts the data from infotype 0032 to infotype 0442. Once the report has been successfully run, enter all the additional relevant information on infotype 0442 for each respective employee.

Effects on System Administration
Maintain company car information in infotype 0442 and no longer in infotype 0032.
Dependent functions
In function P0442, the South African function module HR_IMPUTE_CC_CALC_ZA is responsible for calculating the taxable benefit of the company car. No maintenance is necessary.
