EnjoySAP - SAP Business Workflow in the Business Workplace

Scope of Functions

In line with the Enjoy initiative, the SAP Business Workflow inbox has been integrated into the Business Workplace.

The workflow inbox, workflow outbox and workflow resubmissions can be accessed in the navigation tree.

The special workflow functions for the various areas can be accessed via the toolbar of the new ABAP List Viewer (ALV).

The following new functions are available:

  • Improved usability of dynamic columns with the ALV via the maintenance of display variants.
  • Workflow inbox
Work items are displayed in the workflow inbox not only as an overall list, but also in accordance with the following preset grouping criteria:
  • Tasks

  • Content: Groups the work items according to object instance

  • Content type: Groups the work items according to object type

  • Sort key

In addition, overdue entries, deadline messages and incorrect entries are displayed in the workflow inbox.
The user exit can be used to set up the work item preview on a customer-specific basis.
The Workflow Toolbox can be used to access workflow functionality during application transactions.
  • Tips & Tricks
The "Tips & Tricks" are an additional help function for end users. They are displayed in the preview window of the Business Workplace and can be activated/deactivated in the personal workflow settings.
The workflow outbox can now only be accessed via the Business Workplace.
  • New icons
New icons are used in the Business Workplace, in particular for the various statuses of a work item.
  • Workflow links
The function Workflow links displays those workflows that use the object used in the selected work item. This function was previously available within the integrated inbox via Goto -> Object links. Refer to Display of Workflows Linked to Objects/Object Types as well.
  • Workflow start
This function can be used to start new workflows on objects of work items.
