New Functions in Mixed Costing
Scope of Functions
-
Editing Procurement Alternatives
-
From Release 4.6A, you can create, change and display (edit) procurement alternatives from the same screen.
-
To access these functions, choose Accounting -> Controlling -> Product Cost Controlling
-> Product Cost Planning -> Material Costing -> Master Data for Mixed Cost Estimate -> Edit Procurement Alternatives.
- The system displays the existing procurement alternatives in a hierarchical list, sorted by process category.
-
Process Category Inventory Change
- The process categories available for procurement alternatives until Release 4.6A were Purchase order, Production, Stock transfer and Subcontracting. These process categories have now been enhanced by the category Inventory change, which enables the opening inventory value to be included in mixed costing. The opening inventory of a material is considered as a procurement alternative in its own right. The equivalence number used with the procurement alternative in the mixed cost estimate represents the opening inventory quantity of the material.
-
Mixing Ratios
-
In order to calculate a mixed price for a material that has various sources of supply or that is produced
on different production lines, you first create procurement alternatives. You then create mixing ratios for the procurement alternatives.
- Until now, only procurement alternatives with a mixing ratio greater than zero could be included in mixed costing. From Release 4.6A, you can also include procurement alternatives with a mixing ratio of zero. To do this, you turn on the indicator Procurement alternative for mixed costing when you define the mixing ratios for the procurement alternative. This indicator is automatically turned on for procurement alternatives with a mixing ratio greater than zero.
