Conversion of order status management to general status management

Scope of Functions

For Release 4.0, functions were added to general status management that previously could only be implemented in order status management. Order status management is therefore obsolete and will not be supported for future releases. It is recommended that you no longer use order status management.

You can use two programs to automatically convert existing order types (program RKOSTAT1) and orders (program RKOSTAT2) from order status management to general status management.

Effects on Data Transfer

A link to the customizing organizer exists ensuring the automatic transport of the status profiles generated and the order type converted.

Effects on System Administration

The program RKOSTAT1 for the conversion of order types is started in the system when you perform the Customizing. You can start the program RKOSTAT2 for the conversion of orders in the productive system, for example.
